Our Partners

Taking a company public is not a single moment. It is a process — and these are the partners who made it seamless.

Our Investment Model

We take minority stakes in profitable, founder-led food businesses. The founder keeps running the bizi. We stay in the room and help them compound.

The Team

The people running Africa Eats are the same people who built it. Same team since the first investment, same conviction a decade later.

Most investment structures are built for the investor’s exit.

Ours is built for what happens after.

Africa Eats is a publicly listed holding company. We back profitable, founder-led food and agriculture businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa — and we hold them permanently.

The businesses feeding Sub-Saharan Africa have been invisible to most investors.

That’s a structural problem — not a market problem

Sub-Saharan Africa loses 30–50% of its food production before it reaches a consumer. Not because of drought. Not because of conflict. Because the
supply chain — cold storage, aggregation, distribution, last-mile retail — is underfunded.

The founders fixing it are real. Their businesses are profitable. Their growth rates are extraordinary.

What they haven’t had is patient capital. Capital that doesn’t need an exit in 10 years. Capital that shows up at $10,000 in revenue and is
still there at $10 million.

And for investors — the other side of the same problem — there has been no clean, transparent, liquid way to participate in that growth without
taking on single-company risk or navigating markets that were never built for outside access.

Africa Eats exists because both problems are solvable. At the same time.
With the same structure.

We back founders who are already building. Already profitable. Already growing.

The Team

Africa Eats runs on a lean team — by design. Our model is to back founders, not to build a bureaucracy around them.

Our Partners

Taking a private company public is not a transaction. It is a process — legal, financial, regulatory, and deeply relational. These are the firms that made it work.

Perigeum Capital

Perigeum Capital is a boutique corporate finance firm geared towards providing businesses with the professional representation and insight they need to execute successful transactions within the precincts of their individual corporate objectives and beyond.

Rogers Capital

A Mauritius-based financial services firm that merges fiduciary responsibility with innovative credit solutions and technology. Rogers Capital managed the financial obligations of the listing with the rigour and integrity that a public company demands — locally grounded, globally oriented.

Bowmans

One of Africa’s foremost legal networks — nine offices, six countries, over five hundred specialist lawyers. Bowmans brought the legal expertise and local market acumen to match the continental scale of what Africa Eats is building. The kind of firm that joins you as a partner, not just a service provider.

Baker Tilly

A global audit and advisory firm with a forward-focused approach to financial assurance. Baker Tilly audits the Africa Eats books — giving the board, the audit committee, and every shareholder the confidence that the numbers behind the share price are exactly what they say they are.

Warren Buffett built Berkshire Hathaway by holding great businesses forever. We built the same model for Africa.

The Africa Eats playbook is documented in Berkshire Africa — the book co-founders Luni Libes and Jumaane Tafawa wrote about what it actually takes to build a permanent capital vehicle for African SMEs.
