Nigerian cities with 500,000+ population
Nigerian cities with populations over 1 million
The Industry Challenge
Nigeria has almost 250 million people. Unlike most African countries, its population is not concentrated in one large metropolitan area — it is spread across 17 cities with more than 500,000 residents each, six of which have populations over one million.
That geography makes logistics one of the most critical pieces of infrastructure in Nigeria’s food and commerce economy. It also makes it one of the hardest to build at scale. For commerce brands trying to ship quickly and accurately across multiple cities, the infrastructure gap is enormous.
Business & Origins
Movnn was founded to fill that gap — building and operating a network of distribution and fulfillment centers across Nigeria’s largest cities.
It is not a freight company. It is infrastructure for commerce brands that need to ship faster, reduce errors, and scale without the operational complexity of building their own logistics. Africa Eats was the first investor.
Value Proposition & Business Model
Movnn operates distribution and fulfillment centers across multiple Nigerian cities, enabling commerce brands to reach customers efficiently without building the warehousing and logistics infrastructure themselves.
The model is designed for Nigeria’s multi-city geography — where national distribution requires a different kind of footprint than East African markets. As the network of centers grows, Movnn’s value to each client grows with it.
